Corriedale confirms who kills Emmerdale’s John and it’s a shocker

Now that Celia Daniels and Ray Walters (Jaye Griffiths and Joe Absolom) have been killed off, you’d think Emmerdale might give the villain death pattern a wee rest – but Corriedale has upped the ante once more, bringing about a grisly end for killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

John has been central to the action for over a year, entering into a relationship and then an engagement with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).

Later he was revealed to be a killer, having finished off Nate Robinson and dumping him in a lake.

It would then transpire that this wasn’t his first rodeo as an assailant but he was determined to keep his newly formed life with Aaron intact.

When Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was released from prison, it threw everything into chaos and, before long, John’s crimes were exposed, prompting him to try and finish off Robert so he could be be with Aaron.

The truth of the crimes came out and lately, having gone on the run, John returned for his final revenge.

With Aaron holding a gun at him, the pair sped off in a car, and right smack bang into a Corriedale vehicle mash-up.

As Aaron lay in peril, John made his getaway and watched from afar as the carnage unfolded.

Robert raced to the scene and Aaron was thankfully saved, leaving the couple to reflect on their future – and get engaged!

Bad news for John – but not the worst he was to come.

Pursued by Corrie’s Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), John fled into the woods and Robert was hot on his trail alongside Cain (Jeff Hordley).

As they came face to face with their murderous foe, the gun went off and it seemed like Cain would be a goner.

In true Cain style, he brushed it off as a flesh wound.

Following the woodland showdown, we were left to wonder what had become of John.

But wonder no more – a shot towards the end showed him lying motionless and very much dead.

Standing over him? His own sister Victoria! (Isabel Hodgins).

Has she struck the killer blow and how will she get away with this? Will Robert help cover it up?
