Casualty Christmas Special 2024: “All I Want for Christmas”
The festive season is about to get a whole lot more dramatic in Casualty as the team faces a critical blood shortage on Christmas Day. The Christmas special, airing on Saturday, December 21, 2024, will bring the Holby ED team face-to-face with a life-or-death situation.
In the heart-pounding episode, Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) will fight to save lives while Iain (Michael Stevenson) risks his own to ensure the hospital doesn’t run out of the crucial blood supply. The tension will mount as the staff members are forced to make split-second decisions in the face of an overwhelming crisis.
In addition to the gripping drama, the special will feature real-life testimonies from individuals who’ve been directly affected by blood donation in the UK. Key workers from the country’s blood services will also share their experiences, giving the episode an even more impactful and realistic feel.
The New Boxset: “Public Property” – What to Expect
Following the Christmas special, Casualty will return with a bang in December 2024, introducing a brand-new boxset titled “Public Property”. The first episode of the new boxset, titled “Off Duty”, will air on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 9:15 pm on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer.
In this exciting new chapter, the actions of nurse Jodie Whyte (Anna Chell) will have a disastrous ripple effect, affecting both her personal and professional life, as well as those around her. This episode sets the stage for deepening tensions and unexpected consequences.
Elsewhere, Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) will have to navigate hostility from her colleagues when she attempts to put her personal issues with clinical lead and nurse manager Siobhan McKenzie aside. Jan Jenning (Di Botcher) will also face a clash with new trainee paramedic Indie Jankowski (Naomi Wakszlak), adding more drama and conflict to the ED.
