It’s been far too long since viewers have seen Kelly Monaco grace their screens. And ever sinceΒ Sam died onΒ General HospitalΒ in October of 2024, fans have been rallying for the popular daytime star to return β€” somehow, some way β€” to the soap. Even though it may not have been like many had hoped, on November 11, Monaco did make a return to the ABC network β€” and fans couldn’t get enough of seeing her beautiful face.

It all went down last night during ABC’sΒ Dancing With the Stars’ 20th anniversary special. Many performers from throughout the years turned up in the audience and one of them was Monaco, who took home the mirrorball as the winner of Season One.

One fan, Connie, took to X to post a pic of the actress and shouted, β€œThere are just no words to best describe the feeling of seeing you again on my screen! I am so happy I could cry. How we’ve missed you.”

And she wasn’t the only one… once again the internet showed their support for Monaco following her first return to TV since her character died on the Port Charles soap, a soap where she played Sam for over 20 years. β€œThe queen has returned!” cheered another fan, Patty, as Jane added, β€œKelly Monaco the complete star. We love miss and want to see back on our screens.”

The actress brieflyΒ broke her silence on the exitΒ and despiteΒ billboards and flybys filled with support, begging for the network to bring her back, Monaco’s character has remained gone. However, we all know that anyone can come back from the dead on soaps and we just know Monaco’s fans would love for that to be the case one day for Sam.
